The Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine expects that Results of the Presidential Elections will not provoke Mass Protests
Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, commented upon the intention of the Party of Regions to provoke mass protests since 17 January. Thus, he expects that results of the presidential elections will not give grounds for the mass protests.
"I hope that people´s choice will not lead to the conflicts. People shall elect the person to provide stability, unity and progress", - V.Lytvyn stated.
He underscored that the right for demonstrations is legally guaranteed and can be realized within the scope of the Constitution.
"The main point is that the organizers of the demonstrations shall not violate the law", - the Head of the Parliament stressed.
